Summary

This article is about the American dream and how to get there.

Some people think that the American Dream does not exist. But the American Dream is what you set your goals to be. Some people say that you are never going to accomplish that dream or it's too hard to do. People think that the American Dream is to live rich. I, however, think that if you love doing what you love to do, then do it.

According to the PBS film American Creed, Mark Meckler, founder of the Tea Party Patriots, says, “Hard work gets you farther in the world. With hard work you are able to do what you desire.” When you work hard you move up towards your goal. Your goal is what you make it to be. People may say that what it means to be an American is getting into the United States and then wow you're American, but it's not that. I think it means to do what you love and accomplish that. What you love is what you should go after. What you want to do is what you should do and while you are doing that you are living the American Dream.

Former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, a professor at Stanford University, says, “The essence of America that which really unites us is not ethnicity, or nationality, or religion it is an idea and what an idea it is: That you can come from humble circumstances and do great things.” I think that you can do what you want if you push yourself. If you want to truly live the American Dream you will do anything to get there.

You can't be afraid to get your hands dirty when some obstacle comes up. You have to be able to get through that obstacle if you truly want to live the American Dream. Some people think that the government will solve all of these problems but they can't. You will have to solve some of your problems. The American Dream is the heart and soul of this country. The American Dream is what you make it to be.
