Summary

What does the American Creed mean to us and me

The American Creed is something shared across the country despite the idea that people would define it in their own way. We should all, as an Americans, should stick with our ideals and to do that we must understand what those ideals are built on. America was based on the idea that all men are created equal, that we all should have equal opportunity.

For me personally it means that I can be in a society that in spite of our differences we can come together and show respect to one another; that we have freedom and a choice. A society where we can trust one another, that we can accept all of us.

Something big for me is that we aren't based on our background our race, our story. We are judged by us as people, as what we mean to people, as how we affect people's lives. How we are judged by what we do and not what our parents do. that our choices are what people look at us for, and in spite all of that that we respect for one another.
