Summary

My American Creed, two simple words, I can... .

America is a country of freedom and good fortune. The American creed, we are freedom, we have equal rights, and we are peaceful nation under god. My American Creed, two words, I can.

I can be what I want to be. If I want to be an Actor I will be an actor, if I want to be a politician I will, if I want to be a doctor I can. Quentin Tarantino, one of the greatest film directors of all time creating films such as Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, Django Unchained, Hateful Eight, Inglourious Basterds, and Reservoir Dogs. Tarantino never went to college, he worked at a movie story and one day told himself I can be a director and went out to achieve his dream and he did just that.

I can do what I want to do. What people do with their lives is up to them. In America people have the liberty of choosing their own path in life. Philip Randolph, a fighter for equal rights decided what he wanted to do. Philip Randolph was the founder and head of one of the greatest and most historic moments in American History, the March on Washington. He told himself that he wanted change that wanted a world of equality, he told himself what he wanted to do, and he succeeded.

I can change the world. The world is full of possibility, our world runs on possibility and chance. The weather forecast is run by chance (probability/guess), the outcome of an election (probability), gambling for money in games of chance, and many other life events. Every person changes the world in some form or way, and whether they tell themselves this or not they know in there hearts that it is true.

I can do anything. “Anything is possible if you put your mind to it”, a clique quote that many say, that is in fact true. However there are things that can’t be done, but if you try you can do the impossible. The Wright brothers were told that the flight of a bird could not be obtained by human hands, but they kept on trying and trying and they obtained what they wanted. America is not the only free country in the world and we are not the best country in the world, but WE can do anything, if we put our minds to it.
