Summary

I have had a great life while growing up in Mississippi. Not even realizing what has been happening around me in America and around the world. I have taken my opportunities and advantages for granted my whole life.

Does everyone have their own personal American Creed? I truly believe that the American Creed is what you make it. You just have to be willing to make your own way; then you must stay true to your goals to be successful and be the best person you can be in life.

I have had a great life while growing up in Mississippi, not even realizing what has been happening around me in America and around the world. I have taken my opportunities and advantages for granted my whole life. Not everybody can afford the things my family can afford.

Being American is more than a title or a way of living. I know that all Americans have freedom and other rights as Americans which are privileges, but not everyone has a great life in America. What we as Americans don’t realize is there are still Americans who are poor and don’t have good lives in our own country. And sometimes it is not even their fault because their parents could not be successful in life. That's why I think Americans should try to help those people who are poor.

So I believe the American Creed is whatever you make it. You have the right to make that decision because you are American. So you ask me what my American Creed is? My American Creed is a promise to myself and everybody else that is around me, that I will work hard, help others who are in need, and stand true to my beliefs. This will lead to a successful life.
