The pandemic's effect

By Lila C. from Arcata High School in California

“It's been really difficult for me because even though he lives in Canada, Toronto, even though that's far away, I'm used to it being several times a year that I see him. Covid has separated me from my dad for a year and a half, like I haven't seen him since March. I didn’t realize the value of that kind of time. With Covid it has impressed upon me the importance of spending time with your loved ones. Leaving my friends in Tahoe to move during a pandemic, and my older sibling going to college, it just has really taught me that you should spend as much time as you can with your loved ones.”
