Quotes from a first year on aspirations and expectations

By Zinnia C. from Academy of the Redwoods in California

“I’m really interested in political science. I’ve been following it recently just because of events, and the world, and how everything has become extremely political. And I think it’s a worthy pathway to look into and give it a shot, and see what happens.”

“High School and the events leading up to it have obviously been different than what any seven year old would expect. I mean, it’s such a big transition, and I did homeschooling through seventh and eighth grade so it’s just been very interesting moving from different ways of doing school. And I think kids expect it to be much more linear and sensible than it actually is, but it’s much more unpredictable.”
