Humans of Publications

By Emma A. from Texas High School in Texas

“I would like to be remembered as nothing better than I actually am. I don’t want anybody at my funeral [saying], ‘She was the kindest person ever.’ Because I wasn’t. I never was. I would not like to be remembered as worse, [either]. I just think that at funerals they [often] say the same thing about everyone. [That’s] not true about everyone. Am I nice? Not exactly. I don’t talk to many people, but I do have certain positive attributes, and I would like for those true ones to be mentioned.”
