With an estimated population of less than 10,000 left in the world and continued decline due to habitat loss, Red Pandas are an endangered species. They live in the Eastern Himalayas in places like China, Nepal, and Bhutan and they spend most of their time in trees.

Red Pandas look like raccoons, they are very peaceful creatures too. They have reddish-brown fur on their upper body, which is used for camouflage. They have a white snout and ears, with white streaks on their face. Red Pandas look nothing like an ordinary panda, this Panda has similar characteristics to a raccoon. The Red Panda is very small, the body size can range from twenty to twenty-five inches. Also they can weigh up to 8-12 pounds.

Red Pandas are an endangered species and slowly disappearing. Their extinction would affect the survival of the predators that rely on them for their survival. Furthermore, Red pandas keep bamboos in control by feeding on them. If they are extinct, the bamboo plants can grow out of control, affecting the growth of other plants in the forest.
