Summary

I interviewed a family friend of mine, and he taught me about the joys of life before everything was all corrupt.

"I remember I could go see a movie for 50 cents, now it's not the same. But, this simple town still holds its simple values. It's not as modernized and still holds the same areas I enjoyed visiting in my adolescence. However, duty calls and sometimes people must make sacrifices for the ones they love. In my case it was getting drafted, I wasn't exactly enthused, yet I did what I needed to do. My motivation to keep going was the greatest of all, the people who needed me.

Throughout it all, I still stick to the simple things making an honest living doing what I do best. Talking, and trying to sell things. Whether it be through real estate, or running a local store I always was able to flourish with my ability to communicate. This town has made things easy for me, everywhere I go I know someone, all of these connections are all thanks to this simple place called Flemingsburg."
