Summary

West Clermont Middle School has struggles such as underfunding and potential health issues for people in the building. The district needs more money from the state to fund staff and renew the building.

Health Hazards in Financially Struggling Schools

Did you know that around 35% of schools have mold growth? Mold growth can be very harmful in many different ways to students such as respiratory infections, triggers to serious allergies, and could even be threats to major health problems. West Clermont Middle School is a great example and has most of these problems because of the lack of funding. Our school's teachers and most staff are not paid fairly compared to other surrounding schools. West Clermont Local Schools have lower paying jobs nearby. Therefore they need to receive more from the state in order to afford things at school. Most students that live in Clermont County are below the poverty line and the town can’t provide for each student and the building itself. This proves that schools in our town need more money because they are underpaid. These pictures show the flaws and struggles the district has.
