Summary

I wrote about how democracy relies heavily on the education of its population.

Democracy is the will of the people. If the people of a democracy are not educated, then the democracy will fail. Democracy heavily relies on an informed public. Democracy fails when the people are not knowledgeable as to what they are voting for. The people’s voices are only accurate when they are informed.

This photo represents democracy because it symbolizes how not all of society is enlightened. The light represents education, and the figures represent the people of a democracy. Democracy can only properly function when the population is informed. If people vote without knowing what they are voting for, then it will fail. Without education, democracy is pointless.
