Humans of Tioga County

Humans of Tioga County

By Paige H. from Williamson High School in Pennsylvania

“I have lived in five different houses in Lawrenceville. I used to live in Ryan Circle the rest of the town called it Snob Knob. Higher classes of people live there because the homes are nicer and cost more money. The people that live there are involved in the community hold more powerful positions in local government and schools. They definitely have earned their “status” and it’s very quiet and everyone knows you. The placement of Ryan circle also helps create the stigma of being up on the hill. The classes are very much there. Each section of Lawrenceville is like its own districts and zones. And there are classes in each section. The trailer park has its own classes as well as the middle of Lawrenceville. Each section has its own stigma and levels.”
