ART AND SCIENCE FUNDING ISSUES IN SCHOOLS.
I talk about the issues of schools world wide having issues with funding.
Art and science funding issues in the American education system.
By Jazlynn Crumley.
The funding for art and science teachers is outrageous! The school funding for teachers is only their paycheck and a budget given by the school. Teachers have to ask time on time again for the littlest items.
In most areas the school does not fund most if not all of the projects in art and science classes. Nettleton school is “one of the best with budgeting in this area.” According to Ms.Hatchett , Mrs.priest and Mrs.Bradway. Most art and science classes or program budgets are being cut by their education system. Luckily nettleton schools try their best to accommodate these teachers and their needs, the art and science teachers of nettleton junior high school have never had to ask for anything extra for their classes. According to Ms. Hatchett “I never had to ask for anything extra,” and from Mrs.priest “they just say “No you can’t have that,” they’ll try their best.”
The school funding system undermines the need for fun projects and interesting class time. Some kids learn best when having fun. This is why kids succeed in science when fun projects are being done, and to do this we need to fund teachers and their projects. Just because nettleton is afloat does not mean that other schools have the budget for this. 12% of schools shut off art programs due to economic stress. The education system is unfair, if this nation is going to progress with creative and open minds. We must preserve creativity.
