Music

In 800 BCE music was first discovered written in cuneiform (ancient writing form). Cuneiform was made out of shapes, letters, and symbols. Music is for expressing emotion/mood and is portrayed as entertainment. There are many different types of music like pop, classic, rap, or/and jazz. The most used music by teenagers and young adults is pop music. One of the oldest musicians from the 1700s is Beethoven, 1800s Brahms, 1900s Elvis, and for the 2000s there are many famous musicians like Taylor swift or Ed Sheehan. An instrument that is used often is the piano because it has different sounds (high and low key tone). The piano is said to sharpen fine motor skills, and improve hand and eye coordination. Different types of music are meant for different types of things like classical music is calming and that pop music is exciting. Many people do not like emo, and gangsta rap music genres because gangsta rap is usually talking

about criminal activity and drugs, and they don’t like emo because they usually talk about death and sadness. Only 56.1% of people listen to pop/positive music and only 25% of people listen to sad music because they are said to enjoy it.
