Recorded crime is at its lowest level since 1974. Only 40% of crimes were an increase in crime Statistics may reflect more confidence in the police by the public. Crime figures for racial attacks and sexual assault may be on the increase, however these figures may be affected by changes in public confidence in the criminal justice system, and the impact of this on reporting rates. Factors including poverty, neglect, low self-esteem, alcohol and drug abuse can be connected to why people break the law. Some are at risk of offending because of their circumstances.

On that note the crime that's here in Arkansas.

Of violent crime offenses which include murder, rape, robbery and aggravated assault rose by 15.6% in the last year. The population growth in the state’s small cities like Conway and Jacksonville is likely a contributing factor to rising rates too. Arkansas numbers are probably more accurate overall than much of the country’s because of the way the state reports them.

With that being said the crime that is in Pocahontas, Arkansas.

The C- grade means the rate of crime is slightly higher than the average US city. Pocahontas is in the 36th percentile for safety, meaning 64% of cities are safer and 36% of cities are more dangerous. This analysis applies to Pocahontas’s proper boundaries only. The rate of crime in Pocahontas is 32.97 per 1,000 residents during a standard year. People who live in Pocahontas generally consider the west part of the city to be the safest. More issues arise with places like airports, parks, and schools. Major airports, of which Pocahontas has 0, always look like high- crime locations due to the large number of people and the low population nearby.

I spoke with some officers here in Pocahontas, Arkansas and the officers said that the most committed crime in Pocahontas is drugs, which is what makes all the other crimes go into place. The most popular crime in the past year of 2021 the most crime that was involved was Miscellaneous the count was 784 people. The officer also said that another big crime was battery either between mom and dad or parent and kid. There is one more that is very big in pocahontas Arkansas is theft and it is really big here because it all starts with Illegal substances and that can either be drugs and or alcohol.
