Summary

There is ongoing construction all the time and hard to know what's happening. The purpose of this is to show some of the progress that's been happening within the community and the perspective of a common man and his opinion on it. In conclusion there has been good change within Eastgate even though its very frustrating at the time. Jacob. R and Nathanael. H

Construction around 275 32 intersection has been very slow and not beneficial to the residents living here. We interviewed a common man from this area and we will discuss this first hand point of view. The project started in 2012, in 4 phases but we will discuss the first two and explain how this has affected us in our driving experience and what could be better through these experiences.

Phase 1 was increase road efficiency between Eastgate Mall and all of the restaurants choose by Meijer. Then Phase 2 was building the bridge on Eastgate Boulevard.

We interviewed Josh L. This common man has been affected in all ways by the construction. He worked in the area during this time and his thoughts of the construction are “I dislike it very strongly”. One of his ideas of who to make this endless process better is to do the construction during the night. That’s a great idea, doing the endless cycle of construction during the night to help the commute in the morning. He has been affected to and from work every day and daily living activities. It improved his driving experience in some ways but there are still areas that are unnecessary for everyday life, in all it’s a bother to everyday driving.

-there are three new roundabouts that have been added

  • Aicholtz Road and Eastgate Square Drive.
  • Aicholtz Road and Glen Este-Withamsville (south)
  • Aicholtz Road and Glen Este-Withamsville (north)

Roundabouts are beneficial because they produce safer driving. They make more efficient traffic flow and reduce speeds, eliminating conflict points, and allowing for continuous and smoother traffic flow. This also helps with lowering crashing rates.

Traffic circles may not be the friend to large vehicles such as semi trucks, but they are minimizing traffic and making the community safer.
