Healing the World: The Essential Role of Nonprofits
Have you ever volunteered and participated in a nonprofit organization? Nonprofit organizations have tremendous impacts on our everyday lives and the community. It has many benefits, such as allowing teenagers to build responsibility and allowing them to aid the community. As well as, aiding those in need with clothes, food, shelter, and many more things. These are just a few of the benefits that come with nonprofit organizations. But, within our community, there are specific organizations that stand out.
First of all, Matthew 25: Ministries is an amazing organization that aids individuals all over the globe. Within the local community, they aid the poor and needy, and they also distribute food and necessary supplies to those who are displaced by disasters. They allow individuals of all ages to volunteer. Allowing kids, teenagers, and some adults to learn the importance of aiding those in need. In 2020, Matthew 25 distributed over 18,000 pounds of COVID-19 relife supplies, and in 2021, they provided 1 million pounds of food to local food shelters.
Another nonprofit organization that benefits the community is Give Like A Mother. Give Like A Mother is an organization that aids children and teens who don’t have the benefits that other people their age do. They supply clothes and food and goods to said children, in order to give them a fair chance in life. Since 2018, they’ve distributed nearly 16,000 packs of clothing to children in need. And in 2024, they distributed a total of 131,243 individual articles of clothing, coats, and shoes to local children and teens.
Thirdly, Back The Heroes Rumble is an organization that focuses on honoring fallen heroes in our community. They have a website where they have biographies and pictures to honor those who have not been given enough attention among the community for their heroic actions. They also support the family of said fallen heroes. Because some families relied on the income of these selfless souls. For example, a wife and her children could depend upon her husband's income as a police officer. And if he passed away, that income would disappear. So, Back The Heroes Rumble aids these families when they’re in need and gives them closure by honoring their loved one who passed away while putting others before themselves.
In conclusion, All of these organizations have had profound impacts upon the local community. They give teenagers and children the chance to mature, meet new people, and also help their communities. These organizations also are a paramount source of resources for those in need. They give food and clothes and necessary supplies to people who can’t afford those things that are essential to living. These organizations are helping many of our friends and family in our community who are in need, and they can’t keep doing it alone. We need to rally together and go volunteer to help those who are in need of aid alongside these organizations. Wouldn’t you want someone to help you if you were in the same position as those who need help?
