West Clermont Men's Basketball Past and Present

2024-25 West Clermont boys basketball starting lineup.

Brandon Grammer was the varsity men's basketball coach for the 2024-25 season.

Craig Mazzaro, 35 years of teaching and the head varsity coach for 24 years. Mazzaro retired with a total of 312 wins and 6 league championships. According to Mazzaro his favorite year was 1995. His reason for this is because he and his team went far in the tournament. Mazzaro started his career of coaching at Amelia high school. Then the merging of schools happened and he became the first coach at West Clermont high school. With his very impressive coaching skills he won 5 straight Southern Buckeye Conference American division titles at Amelia. Mazzaro reflects on his great win against number 2 in the state, St.Xavier. Mazzaro says he looks for work ethic, dedication, and strong defense in a player.

In the 2018-2019 season West Clermont won the ECC league title outright!

During the 2024-2025 season Rayshawn Hubbard and Carson Duke were top five scores in the tough ECC League! As you can see, Rayshawn Hubbard is number 1 in scoring!

As you can see here in the 2020-2021 season A.J Gillespie for West Clermont is the top scorer for the league!

Above is former star basketball player Jackson Ames. Jackson went on to play basketball in college at Miami university. Ames was an outstanding player for West Clermont that went on to do big things.
