Summary

If students are required to get to school in freezing temperatures, a ride there should at least be provided.

The idea I have is creating more bus routes in town for students. This would prevent kids from walking in cold temperatures like the negatives we've been experiencing. Most students who walk are from the ages of 5 to 15. For some, it's a mile and a half walk one way. More busses could also make it easier for students whose parents are scrambling to get them to school and then get to work on time. If school is required with temperatures that are below freezing or weather that makes it feel like the negatives, the school should provide way to get there for those who walk.
