Write to Remember 9/11
Flight 93 National Memorial commemorates the actions of the 40 passengers and crew members of Flight 93, who, on September 11, 2001, gave their lives stopping a planned attack on our nation’s capital. The memorial is located outside Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where Flight 93 crashed with the loss of all 40 passengers and crew members.
The National Memorial is open daily and managed by the National Park Service. Friends of Flight 93 National Memorial serve as the official non-profit partner for the National Park Service. Friends’ goals are to increase awareness, volunteerism, civic engagement, and education at the memorial.
On September 11, 2024, Friends of Flight 93 National Memorial in partnership with the National Park Service will host a Virtual National Day of Learning titled ‘Teach to Remember 9/11.’
We invite classrooms from around the globe to participate in one of two ways:
- Please consider joining us this year on September 11, 2024, for the National Day of Learning from Flight 93 National Memorial.
- Use the resources available for context to have your students participate in the ‘Write to Remember 9/11’ project.
