Summary

My response is in the content section.

The book Home is Not a Country is about a girl named Nima, who wishes to be the girl she was supposed to be at birth, Yasmeen. Yasmeen is everything Nima isn't, and she is everything Nima wants to be. Nima's mother is the most meaningful character to me, because she is handling so many things throughout her daily life, such as struggling through being a single mom, working, and handling Nima’s many emotions. The book provides deep and thoughtful content, describing the life of a young girl in hazy, but accurate detail. The story sort of flows from poem to poem, although the story just continues regardless of the title. Additionally, the book is very intriguing, with many out of the ordinary details and interesting people throughout the entire book.
