El Ondrey campaigning for District Attorney. It represents someone running for political office and campaigning for votes for an election. Fair and free elections are the hallmark of democracy.

Our community and many others across the globe face a common problem, litter. Not only does the littering make our community look dirty, it also significantly harms our environment and wildlife. All of this harm because of litter is 100% preventable.

My project is about a community park that could serve the community in many different ways.

When prompted to do a "Humans of New York" style interview of someone from the Penn-York valley region of the Twin Tiers, I went to interview Rebecca "Becky" Williams, long-time employee of the Athens Library and citizen of the Valley.

My idea to better the community is a late running bus to transport children that need transportation after after school activities.

When asked to take a picture and write a caption to portray what democracy means to me, I made use of my environment.

For the Humans of the Valley project, we were to interview a random person asking personal questions about their life. I chose to interview my substitute teacher Mr. Spalding. I asked him what he was passionate about.

"Humans of the Valley" was a project heavily inspired by the "Humans of New York" social experiment.

This shows democracy because we have the freedom to engage in sports that aren't controlled by a government agency. There are rules but we are free to play a good old fashion football game. It also shows people can support in their own way.

The project I chose to do is a lice/hygiene clinic. It helps the community with self-care and self-esteem.

The Valley is in dire need of new activities. That's why I'm proposing to build a new skatepark. A skatepark provides a fun and happy place for kids and young adults to get exercise and learn new skills.
