Summary

Democracy is coexisting with our differences and turning them into strength. It means we the people have the ability to take control of our nation's future, and exercise the power we give to our government.

Democracy is the means by which the people retain supreme power. To lend their voices in the decisions made for our country. The duty of the government above all else is to serve the people. Government was created to give power to the people in matters larger than that of the individual. The individual was in no way created for the government to rule.

Democracy is the ability to take charge of our nation’s future. It allows for diversity without complete and utter division. It gives a voice to the individual under the unity of the people. The freedom to take action for the land we live on. The ability to do what's right. To stand with our fellow humans and make decisions for the betterment of our country. Democracy is coexisting with our differences and turning them into strength. Our country is not lines and colors on a map, and it's not the faces on TV. Our country is the people.
