Summary

Prompt #2: Similar to how the people on Flight 93 fought back to stop the plane hijackers, after 9/11 my father went to the military and fought in Pakistan.

Following the events of September 11th, 2001 my father left college and went to join the army and fight against terrorism. He was having some struggles in college and needed to find something to motivate himself and that is when he decided to join the army. In my opinion, it takes lots of courage to leave a normal life join the military, and fight in wars. His main reason for going to the army was to find another experience in life and after his time in the military, he would come home and go back to college to get his engineering degree. I know I would be scared to join the army, but my father had enough courage to leave his family and life behind and go fight for his country and defend what he knew was right. Fighting with people you do not know and going into uncharted territory takes a different kind of person. For that, my dad will always be an inspiration to me and his courage and hard work will always make him a special person.
