Lauren Catuzzi Grandcolas

Dear family and friends of Lauren Grandcolas,

I am sorry for your loss. Our class took time to read about Flight 93, the heroic passengers and crew who were on the flight, what they were like before the flight, and why they took the flight.

I've taken the time to read about Lauren and the other 39 passengers on flight 93 and I have read that Lauren was an inspirational, adventurous, and strong-willed woman. Lauren was one kind soul. On the flight, after making a call to her husband, she handed her phone to a fellow passenger so they could call their family. This shows how gentle and kind Lauren was. Lauren took classes for cooking, gardening, scuba-diving, and wine appreciation. Lauren was 3 months pregnant with her first child. Lauren originally went to New Jersey to go to her grandma's funeral. Lauren was coming home to her husband in San Francisco from New Jersey.

During Flight 93 there were many brave and fearless heroes that helped save many lives that day. September 11th 2001 was a very terrible day across America. The heroes aboard Flight 93 were a great example of everyday people doing their best to do the right thing. I am extremely sorry for your loss. I can not imagine how it felt to lose your loved one.
