The Motherhood Ritual

The subject of motherhood and what steps we can take to prepare and protect our children when we cannot be with them is much on my mind. Now as my son embarks on adulthood, seeking his first job and taking on the adult responsibilities we have shielded him from, I wonder what prayers, invocations, and humiliations I must perform to invoke the protections of the gods on his behalf. What offerings can I make to attract the specific gods to be kind and support him when others are cruel; help him learn the skills he needs to thrive; and provide the comfort and challenge life warrants?

This ritual will require much research and preparation to attract the attention of the right gods and ensure my beloved son’s life and happiness and guarantee he will be well guarded in my absence. Hopefully the ritual will require more prayer than humiliation but no price can be placed upon his happiness.
