Summary

This paper is about the film American Creed

Education is very important because it builds a stronger foundation in our communities across the country. Developing the citizen’s ability to learn and think will benefit us through time. It creates a model of what type of character citizens should have and increases our chances of living longer happier lives, giving us diverse experiences, and opportunities along the way. Education is important because it helps build a stronger, educated world.

According to John F. Kennedy, the 35th president of the United States of America, said, “The goal of education is the advancement of knowledge and the dissemination of truth.” He’s saying that advancing your education is not happening without learning the correct information, there will be many lies that lead to different opinions and differences, but with continuing your education and learning the correct information at a younger age or changing it at your present age, it’ll lead to a road of success and knowledge you never knew was there. This makes a greater purpose of life. In this day and age people don’t care to build trust or be apart of groups resulting in loneliness and the distance between people today. It’s a concern because it’s important to trust people and enjoy life as we only get one. With the improvement of starting new programs to help kids and adults, it’ll give us a whole new world to learn and enjoy life like it’s supposed to be enjoyed. As we start this process of building programs and trust it begins to show how people can become a part of their community.

Nelson Mandela--a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary, political leader, and philanthropist--said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Mandela is saying using your dreams, ambitions, and hopes in your education will lead to a happier life and a greater world without poverty or regret. The concern is people today believe education isn’t important and decide to put it off leading to no learning and waste of precious time. Based around America’s past, it’s been in great poverty throughout history and is still in poverty in areas around the United States. The American Dream is based around making your dreams come true, but now no one has dreams or goals to achieve because they’re not continuing their education based on them believing they’ve had enough and believing there in a good enough spot to stop learning. Being apart of the United States of America is a great thing. If we make goals, work hard, learn, have ambitions, and live the American Dream, we will lose poverty up and approve America. All it takes is to build a community where we start the trend of this Dream, making this country greater.

It’s important to keep learning while having fun and working hard to keep succeeding in life. Albert Einstein, the famous German-born theoretical physicist, said, “Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” Einstein is saying it’s the meaning of life to continue to learn and keep the education flowing for yourself and other people around you. The concern is people believe education is only a small part of life resulting in that lost time of education learned and lack of knowledge. In the PBS documentary film American Creed, Joe Maddon, general manager of the Chicago Cubs, said, “Learning never exhausts the mind.” People complain it’s a waste of time because they can’t get the information quickly enough or just can’t learn it quickly enough resulting in apparently their head hurting. But it’s scientifically proven that it actually helps expand the brain learning all that new information, and does not hurt your mentality or physicality at all. It’s important to keep your life flowing with new information improving your education in the world, as a result of expanding your knowledge as a person.

It’s important to continue to learn and have ambitions, continuing the process of building your American Dream. Developing these goals and techniques are important to a person’s ability to think and act on their own. It’s a continuous process to learn new information and develop new skills setting new ambitions and goals within your life setting you up for greater things. People do this in their everyday lives, but in return there is the people that struggle through being able to think or develop any of these basic skills because there not able to get jobs or are just continuing to dig their way deeper in a hole where there not able to get out. Increasing education, programs, and job skills will lead to less poverty in the world. In having more opportunities to succeed as an individual, it’ll lead to having more ambitions and goals in your lifetime, resulting in a fulfillment of a person’s dreams.
