Basketball at St. Pat's

I am going to share with you how wonderful basketball is at Saint Patrick’s Church in South Hadley, Massachusetts. I like basketball at St. Pat’s for many reasons. One of the reasons is that I enjoy playing on their basketball team because it’s competitive and we get to travel too! Hopefully at the end you will feel as excited as I am to visit and perhaps be part of the Saint Pat’s team.

Before the games I had a lot of practice time to prepare us for games and jamborees. Some people that are on my team also go to my school. During the championship game I got to run out to the court. There is a smoke machine, LED lights and they say your nickname and your number. It is so fun and cool. This makes you feel like you're an NBA superstar. In our last championship game if you are named MVP you get a trophy. This is why Saint Patrick’s team and church is the best place in South Hadley.

A vivid memory I have is when the coach told me to shoot a three pointer but I did a deep three pointer. Usually college players shoot their three’s at that point. I thought it was not going to go in. I was sweating and I could feel it going down my face when I was going to shoot the three pointer but I still made it in. This is why Saint Patrick’s team and church is the best in South Hadley, MA. I have created memories there that I will never forget!
