The problems that the events of 9/11 left behind.
Summary
On September 11, 2001, a terrifying and sad event happened called the 9/11 Attacks. I was not born when this event occurred, but I know it was a huge setback for the US economy, and many innocent lives were lost. Sadly because of the events, some damage was left behind.
Today, people of Middle Eastern descent and Muslim religion face discrimination because of who they are and what they believe. They face this discrimination because the leader of the terrorist group that committed the 9/11 attacks was Osama Bin Laden, who was Muslim and from the Middle East. Terrorism is still a problem today; not much in America, but mostly in some African and Middle-Eastern countries. In places like Somalia and Afghanistan, there are various terrorist groups. Every day, the people of these countries face constant attacks, and hundreds and thousands of lives are lost each day. In some countries, the government is overrun by terrorists and sometimes in anarchy. Sometimes, wars are caused.
These are pressing and terrible problems. There is little we can do to fix them but our government and other governments from other countries can work together to end these attacks and save these countries. The military of countries that haven’t been completely overrun can fight against the terrorists. And people can protest and fight against discrimination. These are ways we can take action against the damage the 9/11 attacks left behind.
