Dear Wanda Anita Green
Summary
Dear Wanda Anita Green,
You are a mighty and inspiring woman. Being an African American woman must have been hard, especially back then. But you overcame all of the hardship that you were faced with, you pursued your dreams of soaring in the sky and seeing the world. Your mother said that you were one of the first African American flight attendants with United Airlines; that is quite the feat!
Did you know that the high school you graduated from has an aviation program in your honor? Oakland Technical High School’s Wanda Anita Green Aviation Education Program allows students to be exposed to many careers that deal with aviation, such as pilots, flight crews, airline operations, and more! You have made a difference in the world in more ways than one. You have created many opportunities for young people who attend Oakland Technical High School.
You’re a gorgeous woman, Mrs. Green. You’re inspiring, wonderful, and so much more. I would love to grow up to be someone like you. Thank you for all that you’ve done for the United States of America.
Thank you,
Abbygail
