Summary

A letter to the family of Jason M. Dahl.

Dear family of Captain Jason M. Dahl,

I am from Barrackville, West Virginia, and this year we learned about the heroic events that occurred on United Flight 93 during the September 11th 2001 terrorist attacks. Captain Jason M. Dahl and the 39 other passengers and crew aboard the plane were heroes. I am daunted by Captain Jason M. Dahl’s valor and the immense amount of bravery it must have taken to fight back. He, along with all of the other passengers and crew, saved the lives of many potential victims in Washington, D.C.. Jason was a man of courage. I know this was a great loss for the family and for others. Losing a loved one is always very difficult, but your family member will be remembered as a hero. We were happy to learn that in remembrance of Captain Jason M. Dahl, there is a scholarship grant presented to two deserving aviation students. He accomplished in forty-three years what some couldn't accomplish in ten lifetimes. I know your family and so many others are very well pleased with Captain Jason M. Dahl’s acts of courage on that horrific day. Jason has changed the lives of so many people. We will continue to honor the actions of the people on Flight 93.

Sincerely,

Maddie Plyler
