What is it like to be an American?

In America we have the freedom to say what we want and the freedom to worship any religion we want.

By Bryce N. from Puckett High School in Mississippi

As an American born and raised in Mississippi, I think to be American is special and means more than just being free. Sometimes we who were born American take things for granted. In other countries people are being killed because they state their opinion. In other countries people are being killed because they’re worshiping another religion than what they’re told. But no, not us.

In America we have the freedom to say what we want and the freedom to worship any religion we want.

You and I together as a country should share the freedom we have with other countries giving them the rights we have, and what we are able to say and what we are able to believe, including the freedom of speech and the right to worship.

Help spread our freedom!
