Summary

I’ve been to the Town Commons a bunch of times. I love that place so much, and it has just what I need, sushi, ice cream, and lots of fun places to go!

The Village Commons (also known as the Town Commons.) South Hadley, Massachusetts is a very awesome place to go and this article will explain why. The history of the Village Commons is very interesting so I hope you like this.

The Village Commons might be older than you think, because if you look through a few websites, they actually say that the Commons opened in 1987. Well you might be thinking, that's not even that old. Yeah ok, I get your point, but some of the structures in it are a lot, lot, lot older than you think. See, the gazebo in the Commons is pretty famous, they have a lot of concerts there, it’s right in the middle of the Commons, and it has its own name; The South Hadley Gazebo. But guess what? It was first built in 1774! My gosh that’s old! And also, the Odyssey Bookshop was founded (in the commons.) in 1963, geez. But this is mind-blowing, the Yarde Tavern (South Hadley MA.) is the oldest building in South Hadley, so it’s the oldest building in the Town Commons! It was built in 1732! The Town Commons was designed by the noted Cambridge Mass. architectural firm Graham Gund which is cool considering he’s an award-winning American architect, art patron, and philanthropist.

Guess what? The Commons is 190,000 square feet big! Just enough room for fun and play! Also, the Town Commons has plenty of shops to look through, like Batch Ice Cream, Iya Sushi And Noodle Kitchen, Tower Theaters and more! Just so you know, the Commons is rated 4.5 stars by Yelp (www.yelp.com/biz/village-commons-south-hadley) so you should definitely go there!

I’ve been to the Town Commons a bunch of times. I love that place so much, and it has just what I need, sushi, ice cream, and lots of fun places to go! Find more at
