Dear President,

Greetings, I am a high school student and I am writing this letter to discuss the issues that I would like to be taken into in your future presidency. As a person not born in this country who came with hopes of building a better life for myself and my family, who are part of the working class, I am writing to you with a desire to express some of the concerns and challenges we face. I would like you, in your future presidency, to express some support for the creation of reforms that can benefit the citizens of this wonderful country.

As someone who had to come to this country and sees the challenges and contributions of our community, many hardworking people live in uncertainty, without regular immigration status. A comprehensive immigration reform would allow millions of people to live without fear, contribute more to the country, and officially be part of this great nation. I ask you to consider humanitarian solutions and border security, where humanitarian values are not forgotten. This country has long been a home to many immigrants throughout history, and I ask you to have positive thoughts for them.

The United States has been a country of opportunities and growth. However, access to good jobs and adequate salaries remains a challenge, especially for people like me who live in search of a better life. A policy that promotes fair wages and access to various job training programs will benefit the overall economy of the country, for the American community and small businesses just starting out. The regulation of taxes and inflation has considerably affected many families, including those like mine with limited incomes. We need policies that help control the cost of essential goods and services in the daily lives of citizens in this country.

Before finishing this letter, I ask you to consider these proposals and to be the voice of our ideas, in order to seek a prosperous and just future for everyone. I trust that, under your great leadership, this country will continue to move towards a future where we can all prosper together and keep making this country grow.

I appreciate your attention and dedication to these important issues, and I look forward to a positive change that benefits all the citizens of this country. Once again, thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Monson High School Student
