Summary

A letter to Jason M. Dahl, his life before 9/11

Dear Jason Dahl,

The captain, the most important part of the flight, 43 years old. You rearranged your flight schedule so you could take your wife to London for your fifth anniversary. When you boarded Flight 93 that morning, you expected a normal flight. You brought your small box of rocks and a gift from your son.

Jason's life was fairly normal, had a wife and a kid. He graduated from San Jose in 1980. His wife Sandra, was a flight attendant who worked at his airline. Jason's first flight as a captain was in 1988 in a Boeing 767.

The day September 11, 2001, Captain Dahl boarded his plane and was in the air by 8:42 am from Newark. Approximately 46 minutes into his flight hi jacker breached the cockpit and took control. At 10:02 am the plane was taken down into Shanksville, killing everyone in the plane.

This was a very tragic point in time, you are missed. We are sorry
