Flight 93
Summary
Dear Family of Hilda Marcin,
I am in 7th grade and I go to school in Barrackville, West Virginia. September 11th, 2001 was a very unfortunate day in American history, but we have learned about an amazing story of heroism. In class we are learning about United Flight 93 in more detail this year. Hilda Marcin, along with the other passengers and crew members, did such great things to save lives in our country. We thank Hilda and the other 39 passengers and crew for stopping the terrorists from reaching their target in Washington, DC. Also, we want to express our admiration to the daughters of Hilda, Elizabeth and Carole, for having such a great mother. The 40 passengers and pilots were super brave that day. They stopped the plane and, even though they lost their lives, they achieved victory over the terrorists. They used great teamwork and extraordinary bravery to achieve this victory. We learned that Hilda was an instructional aide for special needs children, so we know how much she cared about her fellow human beings. We are certain that her love for others was a factor in her decision-making that day when the passengers and crew stood up against evil.
