9/11 letter

Family of Todd M. Beamer,

Todd Beamer was one of the most valuable leaders on Flight 93. When Todd found out what was going on he immediately started to find ways to help by assembling people and making a plan to jump the hijackers.Todd was determined to stop what was going on by all means necessary. He even said, “Are you ready? Okay, let’s roll” after he prayed for the safety of himself and his family. He was a true hero in this situation, taking charge and stopping the hijacking that was going on. We all can’t imagine the pain you felt and the struggles you’ve been through without Todd in your life. I am sincerely sorry about what happened and how this could have happened to anyone. Todd cared about his family so much and I'm sure he is looking down on his kids and proud. If Todd were still with us I know he would have been one of the most respected and well known businessmen. Todd Beamer was a very talented basketball and soccer student athlete for his high school and college. September 11 was a terrible day for our whole nation, and especially for the ones who have lost a family member or a loved one. But on that day the terrorist struck, your husband was a hero to this nation. What happened on the horrible day of September 11th on this flight that your husband became a hero on was a day that showed the United States government that they need to make a point and prove that this stuff isn’t going to happen without major consequences. The United States of America started to fight back and get revenge on the terrorists and for the lives that have been lost. The Patriot Act and the 20 year war weren’t just for revenge, it was for respect that was lost and for a safer future.
