Patrick Joseph Driscol passed away when he was only 70 years old on the day of 9/11/2001. On the day of 9/11/2001 it was a very sad day because a bunch of people passed away. Patrick entered Columbia University, he finished his bachelor's degree at New York University, and got his master’s degree at Rutgers University. Patrick was flying on Flight 93 to Yosemite National Park for a hiking trip with his old friend, William. Patrick was born on February 26,1966 in Trenton, New Jersey. Patrick grew up in Springfield, PA. Patrick was a very good man, and he was a very kind man. When Patrick was younger he played baseball and did swimming. Patrick had four children and he was married to Betty Jane Marburger for 42 years. He often told his wife that he “likes being closer to God.” Flight 93 crashed in a field near Shanksville,PA, killing all 40 passengers and crew. Patrick and everyone else on Flight 93 are heroes. There were 19 terrorists from the extremist group al-Qaeda who hijacked four commercial air planes and carried out coordinated suicide attacks on the same day. The terrorists on Flight 93 were defeated by the 40 passengers and crew. Patrick did not deserve what he's been through; he was a great guy. Most people called Patrick Joseph Driscol, Joe.
