Summary

These are my thoughts on diversity in America

America is full of different types of people. What kinds of people? I’m so glad you asked! People are unique, whether it be their skin color, what race they are, or what religion they follow. No matter how different a person is from another individual, I think that they should work together, I think that everyone should work together, to achieve something great, like world peace! You know what they say… Teamwork makes the Dream work.

Skin color is something that varies globally, no two people have the exact same skin tone. I think that is is cool how people that have different skin colors can work together, and can be friends. In the past, this wasn’t always possible, but today; I often see racially diverse kids participating in activities together. This makes it possible for us to drift away from segregation as they grow up, and we can all live with one another in harmony.

I think that I am very privileged to be able to go to school with people of other races, because we all look different, and act different. That’s okay, because as we grow up, we learn to accept each other and we can work with one another in different ways to create success. I personally know many people, Hispanic, Vietnamese, African-American, Chinese, and I’m glad that we can all be friends and get along with one another.

There are hundreds of religions, all over the globe. A few of these religions include Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Sikhism, Hinduism, and Judaism. I know lots of people who are religious, and no matter what religion they choose to follow, they can all work with one another, and I personally feel that people of any religion can get along, and not dispute about who is right or wrong. I have seen that there is a large stereotype that all Muslims are terrorists, this is NOT true at all. I know many people who are muslim, and they are very kind, and would never hurt anyone. There have been a few incidents of radical Islamic terrorism, and now people think every Islamic faith believer is a terrorist, but I know that people are striving to move away from this stereotype, and I’m so happy that people of all religions are starting to come together, and unite as to help everyone get along.

I know this essay was kind of cheesy; but I wanted to share the point that in recent years, so many people have started to become accepted, and the People of America are working to help, and accept anyone, no matter their Race, Religion, or Skin Color. Hopefully you can agree that with all people working, hand in hand across the globe, we can all come together to solve problems, create new opportunities, and achieve world peace.
