The Melting Pot- My American Creed
Summary
My poem is about what makes me, me. I am a mix of so many things, and I am proud to represent my country through my American Creed.
We are the melting pot.
We learn from experience.
We learn from our history.
We learn from emotion.
We are the melting pot of our parents,
Where did they come from?
What did they learn?
How did they get here?
What makes them stay?
We are the melting pot of a future generation.
How did we change tradition?
How do we implement our ethnicity?
How do we work to show who we are, what we can do?
How were we given these opportunities?
The answer is in our actions as a people.
Do we have to face a stigma from those actions?
I am a melting pot.
I have Lebanese, French, Irish, and Czechoslovakian blood.
I have family everywhere in the world!
I am connected to everyone everywhere, and I am proud.
I am proud to represent the melting pot.
To throw in my flavors, expand the wealth.
America is the melting pot.
We are the melting pot.
