Summary
My project is a poem about my American creed and being American. Being American is about having opportunity, freedom, and a chance at new life.
I AM AMERICAN
It’s more than being born in the US
It’s the baseball games I watch
The hot dogs and hamburgers I eat
It’s the amazing cities that are in our country
Along with the monuments
It’s the stars and stripes that I live under
The military that protects me wherever I go
The bald eagles that fly above me
It’s the diversity everywhere
Here in the melting pot
It’s the opportunity that’s given to
Each and every person including me
It’s my ancestors that came here
From all across the globe
To have an opportunity
At new life
It’s the dream, the aspiration
That anybody can be what they want in America
If they work for it
It’s the freedom that I have
All the time, everywhere
The unlimited opportunity,
The freedom,
The new life,
