My American Creed
My American Creed is the freedom for people to have the choice to create the life they want for themselves. Through hard work, opportunity, inspirational communities, and equality all American citizens are able to be whoever they want in society.
It is believed that in America anyone who works hard and has dedication has the ability to be successful. Whether by doing well in school and advancing to some sort of higher education, or opening up a business and working day and night to keep it operating smoothly. The nation's history is filled with stories of people, who with hard work and perseverance, have been able to rise above their circumstances and have immense success in their careers.
There are endless opportunities in America that make it easy for anyone to prosper. There are so many careers that have no strict path, making the possibilities endless for people. There is a track for everyone if it is going to college and getting a degree, going into the trades, or starting a small business. The opportunities in the United States allow for people to create a successful career that best fits their circumstances.
The communities we are a part of inspire us to create fulfilling lives. Through local organizations and religious groups, these networks offer support and a sense of belonging. They provide platforms that allow people to pursue common goals and help each other out along the way. There is a group or organization for everyone, if not, citizens have the freedom to start their own. These types of support systems that stem from our community, inspire us to live better lives and be a part of something bigger than ourselves.
Though still a work in progress, equality in America strives to ensure that every person has the chance to make their own life. The equal rights guaranteed to every citizen protected by the Constitution and Bill of Rights are aimed to create a level playing field, which allows people to further their education, employment, and any other personal goals based on their potential not their background. This empowers citizens to build a future where their goals are not limited by discrimination.
