My American Creed is defined and communicated through national symbols, verbal traditions, rituals, which collectively express the values of democracy, equality, and liberty.

First, The Declaration of Independence is a historic document and national symbol, which contains several well-known phrases, like "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal,", and emphasizes the values of democracy, equality, and liberty. These recognizable phrases provide Americans a symbol of the nation's beliefs. Similarly, the American Flag provides Americans with a visual symbol of American ideals. This flag represents unity and the coming together of individual states to form a more compact union, and the red, white, and blue symbolize bravery, purity, and justice. One verbal tradition that represents the core principles of Americana is the National Anthem, which is sung at various public events from local high school sports to nationwide leagues. It highlights the American ideals of resilience and liberty within local communities and the country as a whole. Another verbal tradition that serves as a symbol for American values is the Pledge of Allegiance, which is recited across the nation and reinforces a commitment to our democracy and the principles of liberty and justice for all. Finally, national holidays, like the 4th of July, provide Americans with rituals that reflect core principles of America. On Independence day, Americans honor and celebrate the country’s history and the core ideals of freedom and democracy.

In conclusion, through these verbal traditions, symbols, and rituals, my American Creed is expressed by the American people, providing a foundation of values in democracy, equality, and liberty that guide the people’s opinions and actions.
