Living in America will change your life forever. The millions of people that live in this country can tell you why. You are free to live a happy life alongside your brothers and sisters. You can take on any task you put your mind to because no one can stop you in this free country. To be American, means as long as you are willing to put in the work, you can be whatever you want to be, and do whatever you want to do.

To start, I once had the dream to become an artist. This is a dream I could still pursue in an instant because I’m a free American. Many people around the world don’t have the luxury of choosing how they want to live their lives. In India, arranged marriages still remain the preferred way for the Indian people to become married. They do not get a say in who they want to marry. In places like North Korea, after you turn a certain age you go to serve in the military or you work for the country. You don’t get a choice of which you would prefer. This is a major factor in how we different from other countries around the world.

To follow, being an American is a wonderful thing, but you must work towards your goals. Nothing will come if you don’t try to accomplish it. That’s one of the beauties about this country though. The fact that you are able to accomplish your goals, and be your own boss. Like in the movie Captain America: The first Avenger; Steve Rogers, a rejected military soldier transforms into Captain America after taking a drug that turns him into a super person. To conclude, as we all now know being an American is such a rewarding thing, however it’s not always a piece of cake. Taking care of all of your responsibilities will be hard at times. Nevertheless, many people would agree that all the work they put into having a great life really pays off. The hard work you put in will have a good outcome and will truly be the cherry on top. Always remember, to be an American it means you will have to put your best effort into your work for the luxuries you wish to have, but you will never lose your freedom, your individual rights, or the wonderful place to call your home.
