My Creed

This is what America means to me

By Joseph K. from Highland School in New York

Society.

We all live in it.

We all die in it.

We all thrive in it.

We all fall in it.

We all work in it….

Everyone in society puts in their work and contributes to help each other. But America is different.

We broke the ties that bound us and made our own future. Destiny did not hold us.

But where have we come now? People dying on the streets, other cultures fighting, children getting murdered in places of knowledge.

Americas bounced back many times, even in the worst of turmoil, and to me, this is no different.

We have, we will, and that's my Creed.
