Proud to be American
Summary
My piece is about how we as Americans have freedom and how education and hard work leads to success.
Being American means
We have a better opportunity to education
It’s like a wide open door for us
That doesn’t require a key or a secret code to get in
Education is the main key to success
We, as Americans have a better chance to get
A job, scholarships, college education
We have a higher chance to reach the highest position in a job
Education helps us gain more money
Meaning life won’t be as much as a struggle
Being American also means freedom
We have the freedom to march while holding signs and shouting
To express what we believe in and get what we desire
We have the freedom to go around town
With a piece of paper, a clipboard, and a pen
Asking the people to sign their name
To demand a form of action from the government,
To change something we’re not happy with
We, as Americans, can have a pleasant life
If we work hard through dedication
We, as Americans, have the liberty
To do whatever we wish for
Being American means being brave, being proud of this country
And being confident that we will succeed
Being American is an honor, not a privilege
