Being an individual that is quite diverse, I have been profoundly influenced by my parents' experiences.

Through an audio story containing multiple interviews, I explore how I learned the importance of helping others from my family and community members.

I discuss how my parent's influence with immigrating to America has influenced their American Creeds and how that influenced mine as well.

How my family and community has shaped my understanding of what it means to be an American

My piece explores diversity within America and how I integrate my culture and American culture into my life. This has helped me balance between different aspects of each while learning that the true definition of an American is the blending of differing backgrounds.

My American Creed consists of letting life take its course, working hard, and always staying connected to my roots and my family. In this video all three parts are going to be demonstrated,showing how my american creed ties into my family.

My piece is about the rituals and symbols that make us American compared to the past to the modern day. The image is to compare the things we think of when someone says the word America, and how we treat them as symbols of our own identity, and the way we worship them.

Exploring my family history through art in order to explain my American Creed

In order to understand how my family has affected the way I view my own American creed, I conducted interviews with my mother, father, and grandmother. Ultimately my goal was to figure out, connect, and contrast on how my family history has affected my American Creed.
