My American Creed

My American Creed is Baltimore, Maryland. Growing up in Maryland there is a diverse group of people. My mothers side of the family is from Jamaica, then moved to New York, then my mother moved to Baltimore. My fathers side of the family stems from Baltimore. Growing up I always knew I wasn't the center of America and there are so many cultures. Growing up in Baltimore there are many different cultures from across the country. My favorite part is food which I think can bring many people together. Lemon pepper wings originated in the south but was brought up to Maryland, along with soul food. These are things I feel connect me. Also New York style pizza. When I eat these I feel a connection to the originators.

Joe Maddon's idea was my inspiration and from it i develop a community festival. The festival would allow all cultures and asks that each culture be prepared to express itself in different ways.
