How do Words, Symbols, or Rituals Express the American Creed?

Anyone who advocates for freedom from oppression, equal opportunity, individualism, and focusing on the people, believes in the American creed and wouldn’t find the same treatment elsewhere.

By Kennedy T. from West Baton Rouge Library in Louisiana

The American creed focuses around national identity and gives Americans the responsibility of being passionate in making their future involved in America’s. When someone feels attached to their country there are many symbolic displays that one may use such as flying the American flag, taking a stand during the national anthem, or even a kneel, or maybe even fighting in a war. These are the most obvious displays, however there are infinitely many ways to prove you represent your country.

America is a melting pot of many cultures which is the main reason it gets much of its attraction. Anyone who advocates for freedom from oppression, equal opportunity, individualism, and focusing on the people, believes in the American creed and wouldn’t find the same treatment elsewhere. These aspects were not the case for many Americans, especially some generations ago, yet many still hope to reach the well-known American dream. Immigrants that wish to come into America know they will face adversity yet they still find the desire to take part in the American creed.
