My American Creed is the connection that we have to each other in our community.

My American Creed is the connection that we have to each other in our community. I believe connection is what brings us together the most. WIthout it, we can’t understand the problems people are going through or how to fix them. I’ve seen how being in touch with others in our community has made positive impacts on our country. One example of this is how the US has diverse communities near each other in proximity. Like in New York, where there’s many diverse communities who all share space. When one community is facing a problem we can share sympathy for each other because we are connected close to them. This can also be seen through our community service to each other. There’s countless organizations that have been made to lift citizens of our country up when they need help. Examples of this include non profit organizations after natural disasters like hurricanes who raise money for those affected. CItizens in our communities then donate because we have a sense of connection that one part of our country’s problem is all of our country’s problem. Another example is how as a democracy we’re able to connect to each other through elections. The process of elections and voting brings us together. It brings us a feeling of unity from all participating in how our government runs, which is a freedom we all share. One way that our country can continue our connection is through not being biased to others, and not being scared to take the time to learn about each other's lives.
